Kaye was born in 1955 the only surviving child of Enid and Bill Saunders from Riverton. She was educated at Riverton and worked at the Otago University. She was passionate about family history and devoted many hours to the Riverton Heritage Society and Wallace Early Settlers Assoc. Kaye was looking forward to retirement and devoting more time to the museum. It was a shock to her many friends when she died suddenly on 15.03.2019. She is buried at Riverton.
