A black and white photograph of an Arab man who is possibly a street vendor. It is not known what the large urn is for or contains. Possibly it is a coffee urn. Part of the Jack Bickley collection. John Wallace (Jack) Bickley, Service Number 48015, born in Riverton in 1915, was undergoing teacher training in Dunedin in 1940 when he enlisted in the army and served overseas World War Two, returning to NZ in November 1945. Marrying his sweetheart Irene on 26th December 1945 and beginning his teaching career he taught until 1975 and passed away in 1978 in Arrowtown. Irene passed away in 2012.
