2b Faraday Street, Napier (between Thackeray and Carlyle Streets)

Ngā haora mahi - Opening hours
9am-3pm - Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Extended opening hours most school holidays.

The Faraday Museum of Technology in Napier is a place of discovery where history comes alive through hands-on experience. Rather than read and look at pieces of history, we encourage you to touch, hold items, pull levers and truly discover how things would've been in days gone by. Experience history your way. The museum is a great place to learn some history and how technology has shaped people's lives throughout the decades. Technology doesn't just appear - it evolves over time. The Faraday Museum harnesses this notion and delivers it to visitors in a fun and interactive way. For example, in the home appliance area you'll find a range of ovens dating back to the early 1900s when there was no electricity through to the 1960s.
