Ngā Taonga Sound & Vision is New Zealand’s audiovisual archive. The archive cares for an ever-growing collection of films, radio, television, sound recordings, props and documents spanning 120 years of Aotearoa’s sound and moving image history.
We are located in the National Library Building on Molesworth Street. Researchers and the general public can view a selection of general material from our audiovisual collections in the dedicated Ngā Taonga space in the National Library’s public Reading Room.
Other material, including the contents of our former medialibrary, can also be viewed there by prior arrangement. Please email filmandvideo@ngataonga.org.nz to make an appointment.
