Ferrymead Railway is a living railway museum operated by the Canterbury Railway Society Inc. We operate on the site of New Zealand's fisrt railway at Ferrymead Heritage Park in Christchurch with steam, diesel and electric locomotives. We collect, preserve and restore New Zealand railway artifacts and equiment.

Our site is open to the public during normal Ferrymead Heritage Park hours 10am - 4:30pm but the best viewing is on Thursdays and Saturdays. We run trains most Sundays as well as many public holidays.
