MOTAT is the largest museum of its kind in New Zealand and promises a fun, interactive and educational experience for both young and old. Learn about New Zealand’s transport and technological developments over the centuries and visit the award-winning Aviation Display Hall where you can see some truly iconic military and civil aircraft. Get hands-on with our science and technology exhibitions or check out the showcases displayed by some of New Zealand’s most prominent innovators. If history is more your thing, visit the original Pumphouse, wander through our historic village or attend one of our Live Days where our vintage engines are put to steam and MOTAT comes to life!
Located across two sites, take the vintage tram past beautiful Western Springs park.
Also offering great facilities and unique venue spaces for your next event, function, wedding or product launch; MOTAT is a special place held in Aucklander’s hearts, so add the MOTAT magic into your next event or function!
