Kaikoura Museum is a state of the art Museum experience showcasing Kaikoura’s diverse and colourful natural, social and cultural history. Our collections take account of the geological and natural history of the district (including some impressive dinosaur fossils), Taonga Maori, early colonial life, whaling, fishing, surfing and a large collection of Marine specimens. We also house the district’s Archives and family histories.
