Waiuku Museum is open on Sundays 1.30pm - 4pm, and Wednesdays from 10am - 12pm, and at other times by arrangement

Waiuku Museum is situated on the Tamakae Reserve beside the Waiuku Estuary. The museum offers a pioneer experience with permanent and changing displays of Maori and early colonial artifacts reflecting the area’s maritime and agricultural past. There is also a collection of historic buildings including Hartmann House, Pollok Cottage, Maioro School, a dairy, lock up and the old Anglican vestry. The museum offers assistance with genealogy and historical research and schools and tour groups are very welcome.
