Museum description: The Museum is housed in what was the Tuakau Post Office from 1912 till 1983. The Mission Hall, another local historic building (1899) has been moved onto the site and restored during the last year.
The collection emphasises the rich history of the local area with Colonial and Maori exhibits, a military section, natural history items, an extensive collection of tools and agricultural implements. A reading and records room is useful for those doing family research as is the growing collection of old photographs.
