Nelson College Scriptorium Museum preserves and shares the history of Nelson College, New Zealand’s oldest state secondary school, established in 1856. The collection includes artefacts, books, photographs, documents and memorabilia, alongside stories and records relating to generations of Nelsonians. Together, these collections provide a rich insight into the people, places, traditions and experiences that have shaped Nelson College since its founding.
