A kylix is a wide shallow drinking cup. This one has been broken into several pieces. The cup is decorated in red figure style, with the background being filled in with a black slip. The inner tondo image is of a man and a youth wearing cloaks or himations. The man leans on a staff. The figures are encircled by a pattern of meanders and chequered boxes.
