Phonograph - HMV Model 101 portable tabletop gramophone dated after 1927 when the wind-up handle was moved to the side instead of the front. A: Portable gramophone, needle holder in corner of case and removable wind-up handle clipped into the right side. The Gramophone Co Ltd Hayes, Middlesex, England Model 101 No 97792 on plate under turntable. "His masters voice" with dog and gramophone graphic on the inner lid which is attached to the top lid to provide storage for records. The Gramophone Company Ltd Hayes Middlesex. Dickies Ltd Invercargill at the base of lid. B: Turntable -metal faced with soft (felt?) material. C: Needle mechanism held in well at rear by spring clip - can be folded up for playing records and folded down for storage and transport. D: HMV record DA 1265 "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere and All Through The Night" E: Parlophone Record "Tin Pan Alley Medley No 1" & Tin Pan Medley No. 9" (poor condition). F: Regal record "A Few more Years Shall Roll" by the Temple Quartette with Opera" and "Sun of My Soul" by The Temple Quartette with Organ.
