Women's Siren Suit, WW2, trouser overalls is a navy blue wool, long sleeves, peter pan collar, zipper at the front, a zip at the side and buttons fastening trousers to waist at back, Women's Siren Suit, WW2 Worn by Mrs Margaret (Madge) Corona Berridge, assistant secretary to Sir William Jordan (New Zealand High Commissioner at NZ House, London. Siren suits were worn during WW2 by civilian volunteer fire watchers stationed on roof-tops to spot falling bombs and subsequent fires. Steel helmets and short rubber boots completed the outfit.
