Programme: Women's Cricket World Cup 1973

This is the programme for the first Women's Cricket World Cup held in England in 1973. The programme is 17 pages long and contains summaries of each team, a history of women's cricket in England, the rest of the world, a match schedule and the rules of play. Slipped inside the front page is a type written letter to the N.Z. Women's Cricket Council dated 7 May 1973. The person writing the letter takes issue with the NZWCC withdrawing money towards Judi Doull's air fare. The letter states that in doing so the Council is causing grievous harm to a player who "has helped women's cricket - and girls' sports generally." The letter is unsigned, however, the address is for Takapuna, Auckland, which is where Ina Lamason resided after her husband passed away.
