Souvenir vase made from 18 pounder shell case, WW1. typical WW1 'trench art', possibly made by soldier, or purchased and brought back to New Zealand as a souvenir. brass shell case with cut out pattern and upper rim flared outwards with cutout leaf pattern. Marked on base: 18 PR. / II / LOT 389 / /17 / [military arrow] etc..
