WW1 officer's water flask, Souvenir de la Guerre, initialled "16/965 D.I.M. / 2ND MAORIS / TE HOKO WHITU A TU / N.Z. / 1915 TO 1919" The initials are of David Iraia Moetara aka David Iraia, decorated with engraved fern fronds, Union Jack and NZ Ensign battle honours engraved at top, front and back, both sides and on base: front: ON ACTIVE SERVICE / FRANCE BELGIUM / 16/965 D.I.M. / 2ND MAORIS / TE HOKO WHITU ATU N.Z.
