Paint Monster (Shizzle my Nizzle, but where's the satisfaction?)

Shared by
Te Manawa

At first glance Hemer’s paintings might appear to have been painted quickly and recklessly, however the process he follows is actually quite the opposite. Hemer uses computer drawing technology to create his compositions, and this is the only ‘free’ stage in the process. The translation of the computer generated image to the canvas is a slow and methodical one as by this stage Hemer is essentially working to a plan. He applies paint to the canvas with a brush but works methodically to ensure that no obvious signs of his physical application of the paint are evident.
